MOSCOW (RNWire) - The world-famous Orient Express is to cooperate with Russian Railways in organizing rail tours in Russia, according to Mikhail Akulov, Vice-President at Russian Railways today in London.
A memorandum of intent between Orient Express, Russian Railways and the tour agency "Russian Railways Tour" was signed in London during the exhibition of the World Travel Market 2006., Orient Express representatives will arrive in Russia during November to familiarize themselves more thoroughly with the offers available from Russian Railways.
"The first project can be carried out as early as 2007 using the rolling stock of Russian Railways to serve VIP clients on jointly-agreed routes. But we have to work out new tourist approaches which are absolutely new on the market and which no one else is offering," said Akulov.
It is planned to organize tours with regional partners who will take care of the holidays and the cultural programs in the towns and cities en route. |
